This series of pendants is tied to the symbolism of The High Priestess Tarot card and Solar Eclipse. The crescent that resembles the phases of waning or growing moon is assembled from two circles of different diameters represent phases of annular the solar eclipse – visually smaller moon disk overlapping with the disk of sun that is slightly bigger.
These seven charms were created during an eclipse coridor of March 13-29 of this year. Each charm is slightly different in form, shape and size because each is individually constructed directly from metal (I usually prefer sculpting in wax and casting it later). I only create these during the in between eclipses time, it has become a tradition of mine.
Astrologically, time during lunar or solar eclipses is very potent. It harmonizes and amplifies any energies one brings into this period. Shadow Self (the Moon) and Ego (the Sun) harmoniously combined with a tourmaline and aquamarine rose cut stones are intended to aid its owner to find inner balance, accept different facets of one’s psyche and discover inner illumination.
High Priestesses wisdom comes from accepting both good and bad, constructive and destructive, white and black. Card’s symbolism –number two (duality, choices) black and white pillars, the eclipse crescent at her feet, the tripple moon intuition crown and a scroll or scholarly knowledge, the Tora reveal one of the greatest secrets of life: wisdom can be achieved only through harmonious use of both academic, scientific knowledge and well developed divine intuition.
